OCS lasts about 5 to 13 weeks. OCS provides instruction in leadership, etiquette, physical fitness, academics, military training and other subjects associated with the career track. ODS is initial training for other staff corps officers and engineers or nuclear power instructors. ODS lasts about five weeks.

Commissioned Officers are members of the Navy or Navy Reserve who have a degree from a four-year college or university as a minimum educational requirement and have gone through Officer Training.
For officers, basic training takes place at Britannia Royal Naval College and takes over 30 weeks. Training is covered in more detail in the ‘Training and Post-joining’ section.
There hasn’t really been a direct path from enlisted to officer, by just being promoted (as in.. you just get promoted from an E-rank to an O-rank by pure promotion), for probably 40 or 50 years. It takes most people 8+ years to reach ranks like E7 or higher.
U.S. Navy. In the United States Navy, captain was the highest rank from 1775 until 1857, when the United States Congress created the rank of flag officer. The modern rank of captain (abbreviated CAPT) is a senior officer rank, with the pay grade of O-6. It ranks above commander and below rear admiral (lower half).
Age: The age limit should be between 17 to 20 years. Step 1: Candidates will be required to first visit the official website of Join Indian Navy at joinindiannavy.gov.in.
Indian Navy Recruitment 2021: Salary After the completion of the training, the candidate will receive a salary of Rs 21,700 – 69,100 based on the level 3 salary of the Defence Department Matrix. Apart from this, Military service pay (MSP) of Rs 5200 per month and DA will also be given.

You’ll need a minimum of: 5 GCSEs at grades 9 to 4 (A* to C), or equivalent, including English and maths. 2 A levels or equivalent.
There are age, citizenship, physical, education, height/weight, criminal record, medical, and drug history standards that can exclude you from joining the military.
Officers. Officers are not required to attend boot camp. To receive a commission as an officer, you must have at least a bachelor’s degree in any subject. You will still be required to attend officer training to learn Navy values and the leadership skills you will need as an officer overseeing enlisted sailors.
Compared to other branches, is Navy OCS hard to get in to? The Navy Officer Candidate School is very competitive. A candidate should score high on the Officer Aptitude Rating (OAR) section on the Aviation Standard Test Battery (ASTB). Also, the overall score should be high on the ASTB.
Luckily, all five branches of the armed forces have made it possible for an enlisted service member to become an officer. The specifics of Officer Candidate School vary from branch to branch. However, for most, enlisted service members must have a four-year college degree to be recommended for OCS.
Ensign (ENS) An Ensign is the lowest among officer ranks in the USN. This rank is held for two years until promotion to LTJG. Depending on their community, Ensigns may spend several weeks (e.g. Surface Warfare Officers) or even their full two years (e.g. Submariners, Pilots, and SEALs) in training.
Navy service uniforms have khaki or black slacks and khaki button-up shirts. The Navy has several different versions of dress uniform. While there is a lot of variation, Navy dress uniforms are either all white or all black, with matching jacket and slacks and a white dress shirt.
